Safety improvements for this project located near the Dassel-Cokato schools include a detached right turn lane to provide better sight lines and medians to delineate traffic. Traffic calming was achieved by adding center raised medians on the west and east ends of town.
The project also includes pedestrian accommodation improvements through the main corridor of the City, including sidewalks, rerouted storm sewers, 35 pedestrian ramps, bumpouts, existing curb modifications and driveways. The replacement of a signal at the intersection with Highway 3, culvert replacement/extensions, radii modification to address truck turning, and replacement of a City watermain round out this comprehensive project.
