TH 71 plays a critical role in connecting people, businesses, and neighborhoods throughout Bemidji. Alliant supported MnDOT District 2 with planning and design efforts to improve safety, efficiency, and the user experience along this important corridor. Our work included resurfacing aging pavement, rethinking high-conflict intersections, and enhancing pedestrian and bike access—all while minimizing impacts on the surrounding community. These updates help ensure that TH 71 remains a dependable, multimodal corridor that meets the needs of today’s travelers and future generations.
