John is passionate about making Alliant a place where both technical and non-technical professionals want to grow their careers. He thrives on the ever-evolving nature of running a business and the growth opportunities that are created as a result of excellent project delivery. You’ll find John integrating young engineers into project teams, supporting employee participation in professional groups, advocating for measures that support the engineering industry, and giving back to the community. He was awarded ACEC/MN’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.

For the last 18 years, John has focused his technical work on the pursuit and delivery of large alternative delivery projects. His comprehensive understanding of the design-build and CMGC processes and his ability to facilitate successful working relationships between owners, contractors, and engineers has resulted in innovative alternative design concepts that have saved millions of dollars on the contractor’s bids and led to many project awards.

John is licensed to provide engineering services in 26 states and has managed projects locally, nationally and internationally.
