Nick has always been intrigued with how systems function and that translates into a career focused on improving our complex transportation network. As ITS Group Lead, he oversees professionals that enhance the coordination between transportation systems and various modes of travel through the design of ITS and traffic signal system projects. Nick is focused on safety, passionate about creating efficiencies, and always striving to provide the best product for all stakeholders.

With over 20 years of experience in the transportation field, Nick is an expert in traffic engineering, signal system design, traffic operations analysis, signal timing, ITS, and construction administration and support. He has experience with city, county, and state agencies throughout the Midwest and in the state of California. Nick is a hands-on project manager and has provided services on numerous ITS projects with an emphasis on communication system design including wired, wireless, and fiber optic.

Nick enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, and playing with his two boys in the backyard. He is also an avid UMD Bulldog hockey fan.
