Tim combines his public health policy, neighborhood advocacy, and transportation planning experiences to uniquely serve communities. As Director of Transportation Planning, he advances projects by integrating stakeholder input and technical understanding to create balanced solutions. Tim is known for productively facilitating conversations, applying sound rationale, and using a structured decision process on his projects.

With over 25 years of experience, Tim is a well-rounded multi modal transportation planner with experience addressing all modes of travel in communities across Minnesota and around the United States. He has managed a wide range of tasks and disciplines including traffic and preliminary design, transit and station area planning, environmental/NEPA, land use and economic development, alternatives development and evaluation and public engagement. Other areas of specialty include transportation equity and connected and automated vehicles. Tim is known for his engagement and facilitation skills and for producing high-quality documents and other deliverables.
